Remember This?! Series: Voter Education Resources
For this installment of the Remember This?! Series, where we remember great resources for tutoring and teaching, let’s look at our Voter Education Curriculum as learners may want to vote in an upcoming election.
There are five lessons in the curriculum that include a text with audio recording, questions for discussion or writing and some added activities and ideas for extension. The texts follow characters who register to vote, learn about the government, issues and candidates, make their choice and cast a vote. Teacher instructions are also included.
Save yourself some planning time and use these lessons to guide learners in getting the tools they need to participate in the selection of our leaders. Check out the materials here: https://www.literacymn.org/voter-education-2020-i-am-citizen-how-do-i-vote
