Policy updated 3/18: All currently serving VISTA members are eligible to teleserve (work remotely), including full-time, regardless of when their service began. Members will each decide for themselves what option is most appropriate for them at this time. Members need to communicate their decision to their supervisor and to Literacy Minnesota National Service staff.Policy updated 3/30: As a temporary exception, current VISTA members are now allowed to change their End-of-Service selection from Education Award to the Cash Stipend. You must submit a request to change your End-of-Service Award to the VISTA Member Support Unit (VMSU) at least one week prior to your end of service.
- AmeriCorps members can earn their full Segal AmeriCorps Education Award even if their service is disrupted due to COVID-19.
- VISTAs may request one-time emergency funds or emergency travel support. Contact Literacy Minnesota national service staff for more details.
