Being a Warm Demander

Has finding time to make equity work a priority in your ABE organization been a challenge? Here’s a solution–The Moving Equity Forward in Adult Education Video Series with accompanying discussion guides created by ATLAS. These free, 10-minute videos are bite-sized and ready-to-go, making them perfect for infusing some energy into your program’s equity work. 

The third video in the series is Being a Warm Demander. It describes the Warm Demander teacher profile, what Warm Demanders do and why this approach is important. The video also provides illustrative examples from the classroom. Be sure to use the discussion guide to help staff process the video and apply it to their contexts. 

We’ll share each of the videos and discussion guides on a monthly basis, reminding you to integrate this work into existing staff gatherings.
