Analyzing Our Lessons with the Culture Tree
It’s time for another installment in our series about the Moving Equity Forward in Adult Education video series. This tool, created by ATLAS, offers free, 10-minute videos with discussion guides to spark meaningful conversations around equity in adult basic education programs and classrooms. These bite-sized, ready-to-use resources give you the tools to energize and advance equity work in your program.
The sixth video in the series is Analyzing Lessons with The Culture Tree. It reviews the tree from the book Culturally Responsive Teaching and The Brain by Zaretta Hammond and then walks viewers through an example of how this can be done. Live links to the resources are in the PDF of the video slides. Be sure to use the discussion guide to help staff process the video and apply it to their contexts.
