Clark Roman
Clark Roman is Literacy Minnesota’s Director of Literacy Services. He joins Literacy Minnesota from LaunchCode, a national organization providing underrepresented individuals a pathway into tech careers through free coding classes and paid apprenticeships. Clark has an undergraduate degree in English and Political Science from Indiana University, an MBA from Washington University in St. Louis and a Certificate in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion from Cornell University. His community involvement includes volunteering at Code with Pride, a LaunchCode-affiliated LGBTQ+ community group, and SweetAnd.Fund, a mutual aid network created during the pandemic that raised and redistributed funds to queer recipients across the state of Missouri. As a new Minnesota transplant, Clark is excited to explore the lakes and biking trails of his new home, and if he's feeling brave, maybe even try some winter sports. In more indoor pursuits, Clark is a passionate fiber and textile artist. After work, you will find him quilting, weaving and knitting, and he probably has too many projects going for his own good at any given time. Finally, Clark is an animal lover, with two cats and his girl, Bean, who is the wiggliest dog you'll ever meet.
