Chiaki Hasegawa

Chiaki Hasegawa teaches Beginning ESL evening classes for Literacy Minnesota at the Open Door Minneapolis campus. She moved to Minneapolis from Seattle in 2023 and joined the organization this March in 2024. Chiaki graduated from Hamline University with a Master’s degree in ESL. For about 10 years, She formerly taught at international schools in Asian regions including Malaysia, Singapore, Shanghai and Japan. She really enjoyed her teaching experiences in each country! Chiaki enjoys biking and yoga in her free time and appreciates calligraphy paintings. She also likes to explore small towns in different countries and find nice restaurants to taste local dishes.
