Beck Weinzetl

Beck Weinzetl (they/them) is an English teacher at Open Door Learning Center in Minneapolis. Beck started as a volunteer classroom assistant at Open Door Northeast in 2022, and loved it so much that they decided to pursue a career in ABE. In addition to volunteering, Beck has worked as a substitute teacher and coordinator at Open Door. They have a Bachelor’s degree in Adolescent Psychology and Language Arts from Concordia University St. Paul and are currently working on a TEFL certification. Beck is passionate about language, and lately has been focused on improving their Spanish, though they also speak some French and occasionally indulge in studying Arabic and Somali. They also enjoy reading books, walking in nature, playing games, and watching movies with their cats, Walter and Oreo.
